Hey everyone and welcome to the blog! This week we are celebrating Juneteenth Nail Art! One of the newest American federal holidays! I have searched all over the globe (internet), for the most amazing nails celebrating Juneteenth, and I have found some that are truly spectacular! But you may ask, what is Juneteenth? Well let me tell you.
You see, Juneteenth is a word combination of June and 19th. It’s the final day of enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas for the confederate states. In simpler words, it was the last significant piece to ensure all slaves were set free in the country. So even though the country, United States of America was free from British rule, African Americans were still enslaved. This proclamation signifies that all people are now indeed free. It is a very important day as all cultures and including African Americans were now enjoying true freedom.
Juneteenth is now recognized or seen as the 2nd independence day. A day of celebration that we can all enjoy for being equal. And even though this day came to be many years ago, back in 1865, it wasn’t until 2021 where it became a national federal holiday for all of us to recognize. So let us celebrate with some amazing nails by some amazing artists!
