Hi everyone, and welcome! I have some exciting news for you, if you haven’t already read the title.So Southernly Sweet Nails is having its first ever awards show! How exciting right!!! I am so eager and pleased to be able to bring this new venture to the industry. I for one am very excited as I want to have something on a grand scale to celebrate the masses!!!
I feel like this has been a work in progress of my life to take this new journey ahead. Starting with my blog, and then the group, I am always looking for ways to bring people together and create a safe space of community and celebrating nail technicians.
So let’s talk about the categories I am having to celebrate the wonderful nail techs out there. There will be six.
- Most Improved
- This award will be given to the nail tech whose journey has improved significantly and outstandingly over the course of their current career with a minimum of 5 years licensed.
- Novice of the Year
- This award will be given to the nail tech who has been working under 2 years, and has shown incredible growth and craftsmanship in their work.
- Most Inspiring
- This award will be given to the nail tech who’s been the most inspiring to their current peers and fellow nail techs in the industry, someone who others have gained significant inspiration from.
- Best Mentor
- This award will be given to the nail tech who has been an incredible mentor in all aspects, to their fellow nail techs.
- B.O.S.S Award
- This award will be given to a company specifically who has been Benevolent (kind), Outstanding (innovative), Supportive (great service), and Supreme (high in quality) in their operations.
- Humanitarian Award
- This award will be given to a nail tech who’s been the ultimate nail tech when it comes to support, promoting excellence, giving care, and showing unconditional outreach and help to their peers.
So now that you know the different categories, you’re probably wondering, well golly gee how do I choose those people? Well there will be a voting process and nominations. Soon you will be able to nominate and submit your vote for these nail techs and they will then submit their work for the qualified category and then you will choose for the top 3 at the very end to go on and win the award! So everyone chosen is completely up to you, and is very fair!
Everyone deserves a chance to be loved and celebrated for their accomplishments, so here’s your chance to vote or be voted for, to win the next Southernly Sweet Nails Award! I’m so excited!
