Hey everyone! I thought I would put together a list of the top 5 nail salon must have products for you. If you are starting a salon, this a great list! New nail techs aren’t always sure what they must have. And apart from the basics such as files and nail tips, the rest can be forgotten.
And let’s face it, you don’t wanna forget the most important things to do a service in your salon. You’ll find yourself scrambling like a madman or mad woman. And once you leave nail school. Your supplies are gonna be at the bare minimum because they only give you things to work with while in school. And anything extra you have to buy yourself. Now how will you do service like that?
So luckily I put together this wonderful guide to help you. As I know for me it was very helpful as well. And to even assist with affordability, some things can be found on Amazon! And yes they are high quality! So let’s begin!
Must have 1
SUNUV SUN2C 48W UV Light for Nails
You will need a nail curing lamp. I suggest SunUv. They make really great lamps in multiple sizes and colors. I have always had this lamp here and it does wonders. It’s recommended you replace your lamp every 1 1/2 to 2 years. Even though the lights are on, that doesn’t mean the curing power is still the same. They get weak, and that’s ALL curing lamps from any brand. Even if you’re an acrylic user you can still benefit from a gel lamp as many great top coats are gel polish. Also, this is great for pedicures because you can remove the base and position it over the feet for easy curing. So try SunUv, you can find the link here.

Medicool Pro Power® 35K Portable
Now, you will need a great e-file. I personally recommend this professional e file I use by Medicool, it’s the Medicool 35k Pro. It is very durable, lightweight, and doesn’t have any holes in it for dust to get inside and ruin the hand piece. It’s truly amazing and should last a long time. When it comes to hand pieces and e-files you want to make sure you buy quality so you don’t have to keep replacing it over time over and over again. Miss Sweet Electric Nail dust Collector
Every efile produces what? DUST! So with dust you’ll be breathing in terrible things all day. And this is your profession. You don’t need that! So I recommend a dust collector. Like Pokemon, catch all those things as you’re working. And trust you won’t regret it. No matter which product you choose to use, they all create nail dust. Acrylic produces heavier thicker dust, and gel produces lighter finer dust. I dislike them equally. Acrylic always gets in my eye, and gel is so painful to breathe in. PANA Volcano Nail Carbide Bit
Hmm there seems to be a trend here about e-filing. Well I guess it just means it’s important! And that it is! You want to have amazing nail bits when filing nails. And I love the Pana brand. They make bits in all sizes and shapes. But you always want the basics of Fine, Medium, and Coarse. These 3 can get you through a set of nails. But don’t forget to purchase all the bits you need to do your nail prep as well. You may need 2-5 bits depending on how you learned. Everyone is different. You can find them here.

Daylight Company, LLC U35108 Slimline 3 Table Lamp
Last but not least, you’re gonna need a table lamp! Lighting is everything! You’re gonna see all that you do and you’re gonna want that lamp bright! And Daylight Slimline is just perfect for that. Also, when it’s time to take pictures this lamp is high quality. It doesn’t lean too far into warm or cool lighting so pictures come out very natural. Having a great lamp is pivotal.
