Hi everyone, and welcome to an amazing blog post where I invite you to sit back and relax and let’s calm the issues we might share. You see lately I have been feeling burnt out a lot and I believe you may be as well. That is what brought you here am I correct? If so let’s have a little chat. I see you’re all ears, eh, eyes.
Before we begin, let’s ask ourselves, do we really know what burn out is? Other than extreme exhaustion we may have a clue.

Burn out is when you are mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted. This can be brought on by prolonged stress or excessive use of an activity. When we are burnt out we are reducing our productivity in many ways, and eventually we can even lash out in anger or become delirious from not taking that break we so desperately need.
But how can we truly recognize burn out? Lets see.
- Is everyday a struggle?
- Are you exhausted all the time?
- Do you find every task dull?
- Do you feel like the tasks you are doing are even worthwhile?
If your answer to all of these questions is a solid yes, then my dear you are burnt out. But it’s ok, we all become burnt out at some point. Whether we work hard, are over loaded, or just become overwhelmed with repetition, we will experience burn out at some point.
But before we begin on ways to solve our problems of being burnt out, we have to make sure it doesn’t happen again. So how can we turn this around and let go of that burn out feeling? How we can navigate life once again so that we are happier and functioning better. First it begins with acknowledgment. Let’s tell ourselves, I am burnt out. And now you are ready for a change.
- Acknowledge what is making us burnt out
- Recognize the patterns that are causing stress
- Eliminate problematic traits and habits
Here are some tips you can use to help you deal with being burnt out.
- Eliminating the repetition of that action
- Possibly working less hours
- Scaling back on stressful activities
- Taking breaks when needed
- Goin on a vacation
- Treat yourself to small victories
And while all this may seem sort of easy to do, it’s not. It takes time. It takes consistency and resiliency. Having a partner who can hold you accountable to take those breaks and to make sure you are breaking bad habits can help immensely with being burnt out.
So I ask you, do you think you’re ready to take this challenge head on? Give it a try, that’s a start, and simply go from there. Know that everyday will be a struggle but it doesn’t have to be. Give yourself grace and let yourself relax and be free and you shall not be burnt out no more. Until then, I’ll see in the next article sweets.
